Career Start
Career Start provides Queenslanders with skills and support to start their career. The program provides training to help job seekers secure a job and supports those already employed to move into more skilled roles or full-time employment, including after completing an apprenticeship or traineeship.
How does the Career Start Program work?
You can choose between a general training course or start an apprenticeship or traineeship. The training is low-cost and designed to give you the skills employers are looking for.
Through Career Start, you can access up to two funded training opportunities, including: A Certificate III qualification and one apprenticeship or traineeship
(If you finish your apprenticeship or traineeship first, you won’t be able to go back and do the Certificate III under Career Start)
OR
Two apprenticeships or traineeships at Certificate II or III level (School-based apprenticeships and traineeships count towards this total.)
