South East Queensland has been thrown into another lockdown over the weekend with the comment made this is the strictest lockdown we’ve had.

A lot of people are unsure if they are meant to stay open and go to work so we’ve taken the list and removed the fluff.

YOU ARE ESSENTIAL:

Queensland Health defines essential work as “work that cannot be done from your home”.

This includes:

  • Healthcare workers
  • Police
  • Teachers
  • Childcare workers
  • Supermarket staff
  • Food and Delivery services – take-away only
  • Food and farmers markets still open – must socially distance
  • Primary and High School are open for essential workers kids – check with your school on what they are doing
  • Construction projects still open and running – must follow covid safe rules

WHATS CLOSED

  • Hairdressers
  • Beauty salons
  • Theatres, cinemas, and concert halls
  • Nightclubs and casinos
  • Museums, galleries, and libraries
  • Sports stadiums
  • Gyms and fitness centres
  • Universities, TAFE and face-to-face learning centres.
  • Zoos and Aquariums
  • Ekka has been cancelled
  • Public parks and playground/ areas
  • Public swimming pools
  • Church and places of worship
