What are the different ways to study?

There are so many ways to study these days, far from the traditional days of either going to class or simply working and learning on the job.

Most education providers will have different ways of how you can study your course which may depend on facilities, trainers, budget and digital capabilities.

At FTA we try to accommodate you in any way we can think of so we offer a few options!

Flexible Delivery with Workbook

Flexible delivery means you can study mixed with on-site learning on the job and online, this is great for someone who is comfortable with studying the less practical units online but likes the hands-on approach also. You also get a workbook to log your practical’s into for your onsite components.

Workbook and Site Visit

Forget online, I want to learn hands-on at work! If this sounds like you then this is the delivery you want! Log in your practicals and our trainer will come to you on-site for additional training and assessment.

Workshop and Flexible Delivery with Workbook

Don’t have the resources to train with? Then a workshop is the way to go as it is classroom-based with the trainer teaching directly to you and other students.

Self-paced Online Learning

Like total control of your learning? Online is best suited for the self-motivator that likes to get in and get things done in their own time. All classes, materials and assessments are completely online.

However, don’t think that means you won’t have trainer support! Your dedicated trainer is only a phone call or email away if you need any assistance.

Online and Flexible Delivery

Online allows you to learn digitally and in your own time the same as Self-paced online learning above however with an added flexible delivery you can choose to do it partially online and partially in person if you have access to the required things such as a site and in the location where a trainer can come out to you.

Keep in mind that the course will offer only certain ways to study based on its requirements, for example, Beekeeping gives you the workshop option and flexible option whereas Landscaping requires on-site practical assessment. Each course will list its delivery mode but of course if you’re unsure you can give us a buzz!
