If you have skills and experience to share and an interest in passing your knowledge on to others, then training could be a rewarding new career path for you. Training is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of skills and knowledge.

Many trainers work in Australia’s vocational education system. The vocational system is made up of Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) such as Foundation Training Australia. To train and assess in vocational education, you will need the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, have industry qualifications, industry competency and currency (experience)  across all the units you train and assess. You have to maintain your vocational, TAE and industry currency once you are engaged by an RTO.
The TAE40116 teaches you how the vocational training system works in Australia and how to deliver and assess vocational qualification including developing assessments. Trainers also require great customer service, communication, technology and organisation skills to engage successfully with industry employers and students.
