Foundation Training Australia supports Australian charity event, FashionAble
On Saturday 27th October 2018, Muticap’s annual event FashionAble kicked off with flare. A fashion parade with a difference, FashionAble gives people with disability a once in a lifetime opportunity. Models paraded the runway wearing some of Australia’s leading designers, newest ready to wear fashion.
“The event truly is a celebration of some of Australia’s notable designers coming together to support a fantastic organisation, Multicap. It brings together people with disability, their family, friends, carers and people within the community and celebrate ability and diversity” says Heather Gardner, CEO of Foundation Training Australia.
FashionAble is an event that embraces diversity while, raising much needed funds and awareness for Muticap, a high needs disability support organisation. The Fashion parade and photographic exhibition began in 2015 and has grown to be a highlight of the year for Multicap and their clients.
Mutlicap is dedicated to supporting people – they champion possibility – and provide their customers with the opportunity to thrive and achieve their goals. They offer high needs disability support services from Mackay down to Northern NSW and out to Roma including; disability accommodation, social activities, holidays, short term accommodation and day services. Across all of their services the 900 strong Mutlicap workforce are there for their 1500+ customers in all ways, always.
“It is inspirational to see an organisation, like Multicap, with the sole purpose to enhance the quality of life of people with disability and their families through their support, this is the most important element of everything they stand for. Everything must align to this sole purpose. FashionAble is more than just a fundraising event as it brings life to everyone who participates. It was a joy to have been included in this year’s event!” says Heather Gardner.
