Heather Gardner, CEO of Foundation Training Australia, is an inspiring business woman having forged a very successfully career in business, construction, property and various other industries. Heather’s focus has always been on innovation and making a collective impact in everything she does – while, inspiring those around her to make the same commitment.

Heather is a true visionary, that takes the approach of ‘how can we do it better or smarter for our clients?’. No matter the industry, Heather’s steadfast and bold commitment to doing business right and in alignment with her core values is a true reflection of the powerful leader that FTA is fortunate to be led by.

Heather purchased the business in January 2017. At the time the business was focussed only on fashion design and textile courses. Knowing that this narrowed business strategy was not a viable longer term option, coupled with a strong background in Construction and Business, the move into building and civil construction courses was a given.

A journey of discovery had commenced.  From the beginning, our business commitment has always been to improve the industry.  You need to be steadfast in your core values – embrace them and live by them.  Recruiting the right talents, with the right integrity and the right commitment to quality training has taken time, resources and financial grit.

After 15 months of discovery, improvement and refinement, Foundation Training Australia (FTA) was born.

FTA offers high-quality, relevant industry training to the Construction, Civil, Mining, Business and Accounting sectors. We are industry specialists with over 100 years cumulative experience running businesses and operating in these industries.

We are unapologetically different, this is what makes us stand at the forefront of training and innovation. We believe training and development of people, skills, knowledge and experience is critical to the future success of not only the individual, and organisation but also the industry; producing a positive ripple effect.
